Taking environmental and social responsibility for our products is a lifetime commitment. We strive for innovation, carefully considering all elements throughout the development process, from initial design concept until the product reaches your hands. Our teams design with performance and sustainability in mind, crafting products that stand for durability, longevity, and timelessness
CONSUMERS
We are committed to openly communicating our social and environmental efforts to our customers and provide guidance on how they can achieve the best value and lowest impact for their products. By investing in a Nobis product, our customers can rest assured that their products are made to last.
Pay it Forward
To avoid textiles from ending up in landfills and natural environments, we recommend ensuring that each garment is responsibly passed on by either reselling, donating, or recycling them. We’re working hard to improve the recyclability and end-of life implications of our products to ensure what we leave behind can be disposed of safely and with respect to the environment.
Next by Nobis
Nobis products are designed with longevity in mind, making them exceptionally well suited for resale. Our peer-to-peer resale programme, NEXT by Nobis allows our customers to resell their Nobis products through an authenticated process and achieve the highest value and lowest impact for their pre-owned Nobis products.
No Cold Shoulder
Our annual No Cold Shoulder campaign is an opportunity for our customers to donate jackets from any brand. We work with selected charities across Canada to distribute collected items to people in need. Looking to donate outside the campaign period? Visit our No Cold Shoulder page for a list of charities we work with or visit your local charity to make a donation.
PRODUCTS AND DESIGN
Our products are constructed to withstand wear and care for many years and our rigorous quality control processes ensure that the products meet our quality and performance standards. Lasting products help reduce the environmental burden of our industry by keeping products in use for longer and distributing the embodied social and environmental impacts across a longer timeline.
Product Care
Most of our products are designed to be machine washable and tumble dryable to make product
care a breeze. Proper care can extend the life of the garment and help maintain its value through multiple seasons.
Warranty and Repair
Our lifetime warranty offers free of charge repair service for defects in materials and workmanship. For repairs not covered by the warranty, we recommend seeking advise from your local repair and
alterations services.
MATERIALS
We are committed to reducing the environmental footprint of our raw materials and products by sourcing preferred and sustainably certified materials whenever possible. We use the Higg Product Tools to assess the environmental impact of our raw materials, products, and packaging.
Preferred Materials
To help us accelerate Material Change, we have joined Textile Exchange – a global non-profit driving positive impact on climate change across the fashion and textile industry. Our membership gives us the tools we need to set preferred fiber goals and holistically reduce our impact, right from the start of our supply chain. Our preferred fibers include recycled nylon, polyester, and wool; responsibly sourced virgin wool, cotton, and down; and responsibly sourced manmade cellulosic fibers such as viscose.
Certified Materials
Our goal is to use bluesign® approved and STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certified fabrics
and trims to help eliminate chemicals of concern, to continually increase the use of certified recycled and other preferred fibers including wool and cotton, and to maximize the ratio of preferred materials in our products. We require all our preferred fibers to be certified by third-party standards such as GRS and RWS.
Fluorocarbon-free Water Repellent Treatments
We are in the process of phasing out fluorocarbon-based water repellents and are replacing them with safer, PFC-free options. We are no longer using PFC-based water repellents in production of new fabrics, and as of 2025 are no longer using fabrics with PFC-based water repellents in new garment production. Visit our Engineering page to learn more about our fabrications and sustainable performance partners.
Packaging
We are committed to reducing our packaging materials’ environmental impact by using preferred materials such as recycled paper and plastic and responsibly sourced paper products. Our goal is to design all packaging to be recyclable or reusable, optimizing material use and eliminating unnecessary components. To help reduce packaging waste, our customers can now opt out of secondary packaging items such as gift box and garment bag in the E-Commerce checkout process.
SUPPLY CHAIN
We are committed to strengthening and enforcing our social policies to better assess and improve the social/human rights performance of our suppliers and to ensure that social/human rights conditions are integrated into purchasing decisions at all levels of the supply chain from fiber manufacturing to finished products. We work with a handful of selected suppliers and garment factories that can meet our requirements for quality, performance, and social/environmental responsibility. As a Sedex
member, we are committed to sourcing responsibly and having an ethical supply chain. Sedex is one of the world’s leading ethical trade service providers, helping companies improve their responsible and sustainable business practices to improve working conditions in global supply chains.
PAY IT FORWARD
No textile should ever end up in a landfill. While not all our materials are recyclable or biodegradable today, we always recommend ensuring that each garment is properly disposed of by either donating, reselling, or recycling them when no longer needed. We’re working hard to improve the recyclability and end-of life implications of our products to ensure what we leave behind can be disposed of safely and with respect to the environment.
OUR SUSTAINABILITY PARTNERS
Textile Exchange
Climate action starts at the source of the materials we choose. For real change to happen, everyone needs a clear path to positive impact. Textile Exchange guides leaders by starting at the source of textile production—raw materials and fibers.
Through their Climate+ strategy, they’ve set out to direct the global textile industry towards achieving a 45% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions within the fiber and raw materials production stage by 2030.
Textile Exchange inspires and equips brands, growers, and manufacturers with a clear path to accelerate their adoption of responsible materials through certified standards, industry-wide benchmarking and measurement, and a platform that advances proven solutions.

DHL
We have partnered with one of our primary service providers, DHL Express, to utilize sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) via the GoGreen Plus service to deliver part of our shipments. By investing in sustainable aviation fuel, we actively reduce the CO2e emissions associated with our shipments, minimizing our carbon footprint. SAF is currently the primary route to reducing carbon emissions in aviation, and embracing SAF is not only essential for meeting sustainability goals but also paves the way towards a greener future in the air transportation industry.
